From May to September, boat trips on Lake Zug (Zugersee) are offered. A mountain railway brings you to the Zugerberg mountain and lets you enjoy the fantastic view of the mountains and the lake. Hiking and cycling are also possible. Besides Zug's lovely old town, there are many museums to visit (Castle Museum, Museum of Prehistory, Museum of Fishery, Africa Museum, Museum of Art). The Höllgrotten ("hell grottoes") are very interesting limestone caves near Baar.
